CNC the place which was the reason behind coming to Prince George and to Canada. Honestly speaking before arriving at the college I had mixed emotions about how that's going to be, right from the studies to campus to professors. But when we first went for the orientation week of CNC all my thoughts just faded away. Staff at college was extremely welcoming and helpful. Couple of fellow students from previous semesters were assigned duties of student support services guiding us through the complete orientation. CNC organized a well designed orientation for all the new International students right from the detour of the property to city sightseeing, helping in getting our GIC accounts activated with ICICI Bank(a great help as there are no physical branches in the city), organizing a complete BBQ party with food, music and games.
Student Union also told us about the services provided by them and the support that we can get from the Union. They even encouraged us in coming up with any ideas for forming up teams and groups be it a sports group or some extra curricular activity.
Talking about the course that I picked up at the CNC is Post Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management which majorly focuses on the tourism and running of hotels. It basically enhances the managerial skill set in us to enable us to become future managers in the field.
After the general orientation of the college then started our orientation for the program. That was also a very fun involved week as the instructors conducted small activities so as to get us all out of our comfort zones and know us better also they told us about themselves.
